Santiago II Aguirre was born in Saltillo, Mexico in 1970, and has lived and worked in Dallas, TX since 1997.
Being the youngest of four siblings and raised by a single mother after the passing of his father, Santiago learned a few lessons about life from an early age: the power of the mind; its creativity, and limitless imagination.
Santiago’s painting is influenced by significant moments from his life throughout the decades and inspired by literature, movies, music, and the artists he admires (Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Freud, Magritte among others).
